About
The Ground Rent Firm was founded in 2012 as one of a few specialist ground rent brokerages in the UK.
It quickly evolved into a principal buyer in the market, achieving significant private equity backing in 2016 and latterly mandated institutional backing in 2018. Together with our backers, we have built significant ground rent portfolios matching the needs of the equity with the product acquired.
Since the end of 2022 we have been an acquiror of commercial ground rent leases / commercial ground rents.
Since 2019 we have been servicing the needs of private equity and additionally made some inroads into the commercial ground rent market.
By 2018 we had grown substantially, assisting together with partners in the wholesale expansion of one of the largest UK pension fund portfolios.
In 2016 we commenced operations as a ground rent aggregator, aggregating a residential ground rent portfolio for our backers – a group of private equity investors.
